LISN is the abbreviation for Line Impedance Stabilization Network. Another common term for LISN is Artificial Mains Network (AMN). Com-Power developed various LISNs for conducted emission and susceptibility testing according to the most common EMC/EMI standards like MIL-STD 461D, DO-160, FCC, CISPR, EN, RTCA, and ISO. The circuit of our LISNs were designed and manufactured to meet the performance criteria given by these EMC and EMI standards.
A LISN/AMN performs the following functions:
Use a Transient Limiter for impedance matching. It will reduce emissions that are out-of-band and transient protection for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)/EMI test instruments such as Spectrum Analyzers. We highly recommend using Transient Limiters to protect your valuable testing equipment.
