The Screened Series Coupling Decoupling Networks (CDNs) are used for screened coaxial, USB and Ethernet cables. Each CDN part of this series is specifically designed to the type of cable and the intended signal carried by it.
CDNs for screened coaxial cables come in two different models (CDN-C50E & CDN-C75E). The CDN-C50E is specifically for 50 Ohm screened coaxial cables and CDN-C75E is for 75 Ohm shielded coaxial cables. Both models are compliant with the requirements contained in the IEC 61000-4-6 and CISPR 16-1-2.
The CDNs for testing products with USB cables come also in 2 types (CDN-USB-AE & CDN-USB-BE). Each model specific for USB type A or USB type B cables. Both of these USB Coupling devices can handle up to 1 Ampere of current.
For screened Ethernet data communication cables like Shielded Twisted Pairs (STP) we have a special product. It’s a CDN and an Impedance Stabilization Network (ISN) in one. The CDN-T8SE could be referred to as a “dual-threat” network, as it can be used either as a CDN for conducted immunity testing per IEC 61000-4-6, or as an ISN for conducted emissions testing per CISPR 22/32.
